After a six-year hiatus, Rihanna is finally bringing music to our ears with the release of “Lift Me Up,” the lead single from the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack.

The song, which was written by songstress Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, film director Ryan Coogler and Ri Ri herself, is a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman.

Rihanna teased the song’s melodic hum in a short clip posted on social media Wednesday.

“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them,” said Tems. “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”

“Lift Me Up” is set to release this Friday, October 28, via Rihanna’s own Westbury Road label in partnership with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings and Hollywood Records. The film’s soundtrack, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, will be available on November 4.

The release of the track is big news for the Rihanna Navy, as the singer hasn’t released an album since 2016.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in theatres on November 11.
