Rosie O’Donnell isn’t hiding her disgust over Jeff Bezos’ extravagant wedding to Lauren Sanchez in Venice. The multi-day celebration drew A-list stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Sydney Sweeney, but O’Donnell saw it differently.
“The Bezos’ wedding. It turned my stomach seeing all these billionaires gathering in the gross excess of it all. The show of it,” she shared on Instagram.
What really caught her off guard was Oprah Winfrey’s attendance, alongside longtime friend Gayle King. O’Donnell questioned, “Is Oprah friends with Jeff Bezos? Really? How is that possible? He treats his employees with disdain. By any metric, he is not a nice man.”
O’Donnell also took a jab at Bezos’ new wife.
“And his fake fem bot wife who looks like that… Why would he choose her after the salt of the earth Mackenzie [Scott]? Sold his soul is what it looks like from here. The devil is smiling at all his conquests.”
Winfrey and King share a connection with Sanchez from a previous Blue Origin space trip, but that didn’t soften O’Donnell’s stance.
She expanded on her views through her Substack, joining others like Charlize Theron in criticizing the wedding.
“I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding. But that’s ok because they suck and we’re cool,” Theron reportedly joked at a recent charity event.
Currently living in Ireland, O’Donnell has no plans to return to the U.S. while Donald Trump remains in office.
