Is Dwight Howard a danger to his 8 (maybe 4) kids? Baby Mama #1, Royce Reed thinks so! According to Royce, Dwight took their 6 year old son, Braylon, to California and then disappeared without a trace, cutting off all lines of communication. Not only does Royce not know where her child is, she also claims his medication has run out and Dwight has not refilled the prescription. She says without the meds, their son’s health is in danger. With her son having an undisclosed medical condition and her not knowing his whereabouts, Royce has taken to the family courts for help.
Royce is asking the court to order Dwight to refill their son’s prescription. She also wants the court to order Dwight to keep her updated on the whereabouts of her child at all times and keep in touch. A hearing date has not been set up yet but since then, Royce has established contact with Dwight’s family who says that her son is in Colorado and fine.
Do you think Royce’s concerns are warranted? Some people are saying that because Royce has complained that Dwight hasn’t seen their son since February, she shouldn’t complain when he does actually see him. Some people believe Royce is using the child to control Dwight. In my opinion, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the custodial parent knowing where their child is at all times, especially when you completely cut off ALL lines of communications. As a parent, you can’t take my child from New York all the way to California and then disappear. That’s unacceptable. Especially when my child has a health condition that requires medication that you don’t have. What’s worse is that Dwight and the child aren’t even in Cali, they’re in Colorado. I think Royce is being reasonable. It’s not like she’s asking for him to return the child.
