Cardi B appeared to publicly curse out Stefon Diggs on Wednesday afternoon during what looked like a heated confrontation outside a coffee shop and gym in Burtonsville, Maryland. Viral footage circulating online shows the rapper visibly upset, gesturing aggressively and yelling toward the NFL star while he stood near his sports car with his arms crossed.

Though the audio in the clip remains unclear, the body language alone was enough to send social media into overdrive. The tense exchange comes only days after reports claimed Diggs had been trying to repair his relationship with Cardi following their earlier split. Sources previously told PEOPLE that Cardi stepped away from the relationship earlier this year because of trust issues and emotional tension before Diggs allegedly “stepped it up” in an attempt to win her back.
Now the public blowup is adding even more attention to a relationship already surrounded by controversy. Earlier this month, Jamila “Mila” Adams, Diggs’ former personal chef, publicly accused the NFL player of abusing Cardi during her pregnancy. Adams made the allegations on social media after Diggs’ assault and strangulation trial in Massachusetts ended with a not guilty verdict. The allegations involving Cardi were not part of the criminal trial, and neither Cardi nor Diggs has publicly responded to the claims directly.
The couple had recently sparked reconciliation rumors after appearing together at Diggs’ Mother’s Day charity event in Washington, D.C. But after Wednesday’s viral footage, fans are once again questioning whether the relationship is falling apart in real time.
