Russia Is Rebranding Their McDonald’s Franchise And Has Unveiled The New Logo For The Unnamed Chain

Russia unveils a new logo to for their rebranded McDonald’s fast-food chain.

The rebranded chain, which hasn’t announced its name yet, is opening its first 15 restaurants in the Moscow area on Sunday. The chain plans to open another 200 locations in other parts of the country later this month.

The news comes shortly after McDonald’s announced their departure from the Russian market following the country’s invasion of Ukraine. A few days later, McDonald’s sold its 850 Russian locations to licensee Alexander Govor.

The fast-food service, which will replace McDonald’s in Russia, has selected a new logo, a spokesperson with Sistema PBO said:https://t.co/itYvhHYvFB

“The agreement remains subject to certain conditions. Including regulatory approval, with closing expected to occur in the coming weeks,” McDonald’s said in a statement. “The sale and purchase agreement provides for employees to be retained for at least two years, on equivalent terms. The buyer has also agreed to fund the salaries of corporate employees who work in 45 regions of the country until closing. As well as fund existing liabilities to suppliers, landlords and utilities.”

The new logo for the unnamed chain features a green background with a red circle and two yellow slashes. The images references a burger and fries.
