He says she approached them more than once that morning, claimed she worked with the feds, and drove off quoting scripture at them.

"That's A White Little Girl, And You're A Man Of Color": A San Jose Dad Says A Woman Accused Him Of Trafficking His Own 6-Year-Old Daughter

A San Jose father says a woman confronted him during a Sunday morning walk with his 6-year-old daughter and accused him of trafficking his own child because the little girl looks white and he does not.
The man posted the footage himself on TikTok under the handle yosemiteshyam. He says it happened in the Almaden area of San Jose on September 6, and that the woman, driving a gray Honda, had already approached them once before he started recording. By the time the camera is rolling, she is not backing off.

Video

“That’s a white little girl and you’re a man of color,” she tells him in the video. “So I believe you’re either buying, selling, or trafficking this child.”

She goes further than that. She tells him she works with the feds. “I work with the feds,” she says. “I’m making sure that you’re not [expletive] trafficking this poor little girl who’s very unhappy to be with you and doesn’t look like your child.” She also accuses him of being in the country illegally, and says she can prove it because she has facial recognition equipment installed in her car.
Then, according to the San Jose father, she drove away quoting the Bible at them and telling them they would burn in hell.

His daughter is half white. That is the entire basis of what happened to them. A 6-year-old was standing on a sidewalk in her own neighborhood while a stranger in a car decided out loud that she was cargo.
The San Jose father says he filed a report with the San Jose Police Department after the confrontation. As of now the department has not put out any statement about it, the woman has not been publicly identified, and no Bay Area news outlet has independently confirmed the details. Everything known about the encounter comes from his account and the video he shot.

What the video does not need confirmation for is the sound of it. She is not whispering to a neighbor or dialing 911 from a distance. She pulls up on a man holding his daughter’s hand and starts listing crimes.
The claim about federal work and facial recognition gear in a personal vehicle is the part people keep replaying, and it is worth being clear that private citizens do not have that. There is no version of a civilian driving around Almaden with a system that identifies strangers on the street and returns their immigration status. Whatever she believed she had, she was announcing a fantasy to justify what she had already decided when she looked at the two of them.

This is not the first time a family that does not match on sight has been treated like a crime scene. In 2021, a white mother named Mary MacCarthy was met at the gate in Denver by police officers after a Southwest flight attendant flagged her as a possible trafficker because she was traveling with her 10-year-old Black daughter. They were flying to a funeral. MacCarthy sued the airline.

And there is precedent for what happens when someone takes an accusation like this to the authorities. Katie Sorensen, a California mother who described herself online as a mom influencer, told police in 2020 that a Latino couple had tried to kidnap her children at a Michaels store. Store surveillance video contradicted her completely. She was convicted in 2023 of making a false report. The Sonoma County district attorney, Carla Rodriguez, said the verdict mattered as much for clearing the couple’s names as for holding Sorensen accountable.

That is the cost that never lands on the accuser. If this woman had called police instead of rolling down her window, a San Jose father would have been explaining his own daughter to armed officers while she watched. Some fathers do not get to talk their way through that conversation.

He kept his voice down the whole time. He kept filming. He kept his daughter’s hand. He filed a report and posted the video himself because, as he wrote alongside it, he wanted people to see what had just happened to them on an ordinary Sunday.
