After much delay, Dr. Dre’s long-awaited and once-shelved, “Detox” album is coming soon, according to Scott Storch.

The multi-platinum producer, who served as a co-producer on Dre’s classic 1999 sophomore effort “The Chronic 2001,” revealed the news during an interview on Los Angeles radio station Power 106’s “The Cruz Show.”

“I think it’s gonna happen man. Matter of fact, I know that it’s gonna happen,” Storch said before adding his thoughts on the cause of the album’s delay. “That’s the D.R.E. He’s a perfectionist. You waited ten years last time. Dre he be killing it. More to come from him for sure.”

Following the release of his 2015 LP, “Compton,” the 52-year-old mogul announced that the “Detox” album was on a permanent hiatus. However, in January Dre reportedly told ESPN reporter, Chris Haynes, that he’s back in the lab working on the project.

“I asked Dr. Dre if ‘Detox’ is permanently shelved,” Haynes tweeted in January. “And he replied, “‘I’m working on a couple songs right now. We’ll see.’”

Upon the 2015 release of his blockbuster motion picture “Straight Outta Compton,” Dre opened up to Rolling Stone magazine on why he previously decided to scrap recording the “Detox” album in place of what manifested as the “Compton” project.

“I had between 20 and 40 songs for Detox, and I just couldn’t feel it,” he said. “Usually I can hear the sequence of an album as I’m going, but I wasn’t able to do that. I wasn’t feeling it in my gut. So I really thought I was done being an artist.” Hopefully, Dre’s new collection of tracks will result in an actual release.

#BallerNation, are you anticipating the release of Dr. Dre’s “Detox” album?
