Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria got people talking on December 8, 2014, after a late night tweet in which he accused Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson of stealing his girlfriend, according to FanSided.
Fauria’s girlfriend is Erika, a former WWE NXT performer. The claim comes from Fauria alone. Neither Wilson nor Erika had publicly responded at the time of this report, and nothing about the accusation has been confirmed. Fauria later deleted the tweet.
FanSided noted one odd detail: Erika had retweeted a Vine of Fauria dancing just a day earlier, which some fans thought was strange timing if the two had been arguing. Of course, a retweet tells us very little about what is really going on in anyone’s relationship.
For now, all we have is one athlete’s public accusation, a deleted tweet and a lot of silence from everyone else. If Wilson or Erika speak up, we will update you.
