Sean Paul is being sued for $80 million by a woman who says she was his girlfriend, and his camp says he has never even met her.
According to the New York Post, the woman filed the lawsuit herself in Manhattan Supreme Court. She claims the dancehall star ruined her life, leaving her homeless and unable to earn a living. She also claims he bribed Jamaican police to have her forced out of the country in June 2010.
Along with the lawsuit, she submitted a 120 page, self written and hand illustrated book about the relationship she says they had. She plans to publish it as a tell all. The book makes a long list of wild accusations against the singer, none of which have been backed up by anything beyond her own word.
Sean Paul’s camp is shutting it all down. A source close to the singer told UrbanIslandz that he has never met the woman or had any relationship with her, and called her a longtime stalker. The source said the book was written two years ago and that she has been trying to get attention for it ever since. “It’s all lies,” the source said.
The source also pointed out that Sean Paul had been with his longtime love, Jodi “Jinx” Stewart, for almost 10 years when this supposed relationship was happening. The two got married in November.
For now, it’s her word against his, and the only thing she has offered the court so far is a homemade book.
