The Wendy Williams show will not be premiering Season 13 on Monday as initially anticipated due to her persistent health difficulties.

“Wendy will not be returning with new shows on Oct. 4,” the statement posted on the talk show’s Instagram read. “She has been and continues to be under a doctor’s care and is still not ready to return to work.”

The show will resume with fresh episodes on Oct. 18, but the announcement makes no mention of Williams’ return, allowing the possibility that guest hosts would stand-in for her.
According to her reps, her COVID diagnosis “is no longer an issue” because she’s tested negative, but “she’s still dealing with some ongoing medical issues.”
According to PageSix, Williams was forced to cancel many engagements to promote the new season due to “ongoing health issues,” and after confirming the stated COVID diagnosis, the debut date of the new season was pushed back from Sept. 20 to Oct. 4.
Williams was reportedly put into a hospital for a mental health evaluation just days after declaring she tested positive.
Earlier this week, it was reported that she would be returning on Monday, but it looks like fans won’t be getting their dose of Wendy for a little while longer.
