A security manager for the Seattle Seahawks has been arrested and charged in a child exploitation case, and the team says he is no longer employed by the organization.
According to Complex, citing the Seattle Post Intelligencer, Aaron, 41, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material. Reports say he also ran a photography business. The arrest followed a search of his home in Renton, Washington, and he is being held on $50,000 bail. Authorities reportedly began investigating in December 2020.
In a statement to the Seattle Post Intelligencer, the Seahawks said: “We are aware of the situation, and in accordance with the NFL personal conduct policy, we have notified the league of his arrest. This individual is no longer employed by our organization.”
The charges were filed on Wednesday in King County. A spokesman for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said the case is the first internet crimes against children case filed by the office this year, following an unusually high number of such cases in 2020.
The charges are allegations, and Aaron has not been convicted of anything. A response from him or his attorney was not available in the reports reviewed at the time.
