A second child has died following a shooting on the 17th street bridge in Atlanta Saturday night.

Cameron Jackson, 15, identified as one of the six victims of the deadly shooting, died after days in critical condition. Twelve-year-old Zyion Charles was the first victim identified in the incident. He died Saturday night after being shot on the bridge.

According to Atlanta police, a group of children and teenagers were escorted off the bridge for violating the 3 p.m. curfew. Shortly after, multiple shots were fired, killing the two children and injuring others, all minors. No arrests have been made. The incident is said to be gang-related.

After the horrifying shooting, city leaders called on the city to stop gun violence.

“When a 12-year-old dies in our city — on our city streets … the whole village has a responsibility, and the whole village is impacted,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said Saturday night.

According to Lieutenant Germain Dearlove, the parties were said to believe between ages 15-21.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Atlanta police at 404-577-TIPS.
