Shake Shack is reading the room and the prescriptions. As GLP-1 culture continues to change how Americans eat, the burger chain is adjusting its menu without abandoning the comfort foods that built its fan base.
Just before 2026, Shake Shack announced the launch of its Good Fit Menu, a new lineup built around protein-forward options and simplified ordering. The menu includes six items, each offering up to 52 grams of protein per serving, designed to give customers familiar choices with less guesswork involved.
According to the company’s website, several core favorites are now available as lettuce wraps, including the Single ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, Double SmokeShack, Double Veggie Shack, and Double Avocado Bacon Burger. For customers avoiding gluten, the Gluten-Free Double ShackBurger is also part of the rollout and is served on gluten-free buns.
Shake Shack says the Good Fit Menu was curated to provide “easy modifications from Shake Shack’s core menu” and created for people “dialing up protein, cutting back, or simply eating with more intention.” The items are available nationwide for both online and in-store orders.
The move aligns with dietary guidance from the Cleveland Clinic, which recommends that people using GLP-1 medications prioritize protein- and fiber-rich meals while limiting refined carbohydrates. The clinic also cautions that high-fat or heavily processed foods can worsen side effects associated with the medication.
GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, and Mounjaro have surged in use for weight loss and diabetes treatment, including among public figures such as Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams. With competitors also leaning into protein-focused menus, Shake Shack’s update reflects how deeply GLP-1 habits are shaping the fast food landscape.
