Shedeur Sanders has finally secured an NFL spot after a turbulent draft journey. Selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (No. 166 overall), Sanders’ path to the pros was marked by a surprising slide, with multiple quarterback-needy teams passing on him.

His selection came despite sharp criticism from anonymous NFL sources earlier in the week, calling him “entitled” and “not very good” in pre-draft assessments. These remarks stirred significant backlash within the league.

Despite this, it’s unclear if the comments directly impacted his draft position.
