Too Short’s Lawyers Say Texts Show a Consensual Relationship With His Accuser

Too Short is fighting back against a sexual battery lawsuit filed against him earlier this year. Short has denied the allegations and previously called the suit extortion.

According to TMZ, the rapper’s lawyers filed court documents on Wednesday claiming that text messages from the woman who filed the suit, Teana, show a friendly and consensual relationship. His legal team says in the filing that she referred to herself as his wife and told him she loved him.

Based on those messages, Short’s lawyers argue her claims have no standing. They also say the lawsuit was filed to harass him, and they have warned of legal action against her for filing what they call a frivolous suit if she moves forward.

Teana’s lawsuit reportedly includes a defamation claim over Short’s public statements that she was after money. A response from her to the new filing was not included in TMZ’s report.

These are claims made by Short’s legal team. The allegations in the lawsuit have not been proven, and no court has ruled on them.
