Olympic icon Simone Biles, 28, is speaking candidly about her decision to undergo three cosmetic surgical procedures and the reasoning behind those choices. In a sit‑down with People magazine, she confirmed a breast augmentation, a lower blepharoplasty to address hereditary under‑eye bags, and corrective surgery on her earlobe.
Biles explained that while her breast enhancement is noticeable, the motivation wasn’t dissatisfaction with her body but rather a desire for comfort and self‑love.
“Okay, obviously you can notice the breasts … But other than that, it’s just feeling good about yourself and loving yourself. And not that I didn’t like the way I looked or the way I felt. It’s just something that I notice obviously a little bit more because I live in this body, I’m just so used to it,” the gymnast explained.
Regarding her other procedures she said: “I got a lower bleph because me and my family have, I call it the ‘Biles eye bags.’ We’ve just always had them, hereditary … So it’s something that I wanted to fix.”
On her earlobe surgery she added that it was needed after an earring ripped out when she was younger.
Biles emphasized her openness with young women and social‑media audiences: “I also think it shows young girls that they have the right to their own choices, whatever they are, and that’s no shame added as well.” She cautioned that “Social media is not real, so that’s why I try to be as transparent as possible.”
Rumors have swirled about Biles’ having a new appearance these days. In a recent social media video, she teased that she’d had surgery, but did not elaborate until now.
