Simone Biles is set to participate in the balance beam event at the Tokyo Olympics.
She’s back! The GOAT is returning for the last event final, the balance beam, which is scheduled for Tuesday night, USA Today reports. The 24-year-old gymnast announced her leave from the Olympics last Tuesday, mentioning that she wanted to take care of her mental and physical health. Her teammate, Suni Lee, ended up taking home the gold as the fifth consecutive American to win the Olympic title for Thursday night’s all-around competition.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: “We are so excited to confirm that you will see two U.S. athletes in the balance beam final tomorrow – Suni Lee and Simone Biles!! Can’t wait to watch you both.”
Biles is currently the world champion in the balance beam event.
