The NBA playoffs are heating up, and Skip Bayless is adding more fuel to the fire.
In a new video posted to X, Bayless took direct aim at LeBron James, demanding he handle a situation involving Houston Rockets coach Ime Udoka.
The drama started after a courtside spat where Udoka reportedly used a specific slur toward LeBron. Bayless claims the insult wasn’t just typical trash talk, but a targeted shot at LeBron’s son, Bronny.
Skip didn’t hold back, basically calling out LeBron for not reacting more aggressively on the spot. “To me, bitch is a fighting word,” Bayless said during his nearly 20-minute rant. “LeBron, I challenge you, I dare you to make Ime the bitch. Show him nobody says that about your son and nobody gets away with saying that to your face.” Bayless argued that by letting the comment slide, LeBron is allowing a coach to disrespect his family and his status as the face of the league.
The veteran commentator focused on the idea that playoff basketball used to have a different level of accountability. He believes that when things get this personal, the game plan should go out the window until respect is restored.
As the series moves forward, the pressure is on to see if LeBron will change his approach toward the Rockets’ bench. While James usually stays focused on the win, Bayless is making sure everyone is watching his every move around Udoka. Whether this turns into a real confrontation or stays as social media beef, the tension between the Lakers and Rockets just got a lot more personal.
