Allison Mack Smallville

Smallville actress Allison Mack was sentenced to three years in prison by a federal judge Wednesday for her role in the NXIVM case. She was also given a $20,000 fine.

Mack, 38, pleaded guilty in 2019 to multiple charges, including racketeering and forced labor for her role as a high-ranking member of the sex cult. She was initially facing 14 to 17 and a half years in jail based on federal sentencing guidelines. However, prosecutors asked the judge for leniency since Mack fully cooperated with investigators.

According to NBC News, she appeared before the U.S. District Court Judge Nicholas Garaufis in Brooklyn for her sentencing.

“She cannot undo what has been done, and she will have to live with the regret for the rest of her life,” the actress’ attorneys said in a court filing last week. “But Ms. Mack still holds the potential to be valuable to society — as a family member, as a friend, as a helper to those in need and as a cautionary tale.”.

NXIVM was led by Keith Raniere and operated in upstate New York. Raniere is now serving 120 years in prison on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Former members of the cult told investigators that Raniere operated a cult within the cult where he ordered female members to have sex with them, kept them on starvation diets, and branded them with his initials.

Group leaders, including Mack, used compromising material such as nude photos to make sure the members obeyed.

Allison Mack has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for her role in the Nxivm case. Also a $20,000 fine.
