Following the explosive press conference in the Carlee Russell disappearance, social media has a lot of thoughts.
While Hoover, Alabama, detectives were careful not to call her disappearance a hoax, they pointed out multiple eyebrow-raising facts regarding the alleged kidnapping. Russell’s Google searches came into question as she researched topics such as the maximum age for Amber Alerts, one-way bus ticket to Nashville, and ways to steal money from a cash register without being caught. In her 911 call, Russell oddly stated that there were no other cars around as she trailed a toddler walking on the side of the road despite traffic video showing multiple vehicles passing by on the busy highway. The young nursing student also reportedly stole toilet paper from her job and purchased snacks shortly before going missing, neither of which were found when her abandoned vehicle was found near where she vanished. To add insult to injury, no evidence supports that a child was ever present.
These new revelations sent shockwaves across the internet. Even though authorities have not publicly declared that Russell lied, the internet has begun voicing their opinions on the disturbing case. Many have taken the stance that Russell pulled a hoax, while some still hope she gets help. Do you believe Carlee Russell truly made this story up, or could there be some other explanation for the many holes in her story?
