The son of former NFL player Vince Wilfork pleaded guilty to stealing his Super Bowl rings and other items.
D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork, 24, was arrested last year for stealing his father’s Super Bowl rings and rings from his AFC Championship and his Miami Hurricanes championship.
In addition to the rings, personal jewelry such as necklaces and earrings were also reported missing.
He pleaded guilty to theft of valuables worth more than $300,000, according to ABC 13 in Houston, and has been sentenced to five years of probation and community service.
Wilfork initially believed that his rings were misplaced, but investigators discovered they had been sold for $62,000. The rings have since been returned to Wilfork, and another $4,600 of items are suspected of being pawned.

Holmes-Wilfork’s attorney Mark Aronowitz told the outlet, “The outcome that emerged from the case as a result of much self-reflection and healing on the defendant’s part and the willingness of his parents to forgive him and show him unconditional love with the sincere hope that he can be rehabilitated and go on to live a happy and productive life.”
