A night out in Panama City Beach, Florida reportedly ended with an arrest for a member of Soulja Boy’s team. Erica, a 29 year old publicist from Los Angeles, was arrested by Panama City Beach Police early on a Wednesday morning in April 2016, according to reports.
Police reportedly said Erica was found with 10.2 grams of marijuana after officers smelled the drug coming from the dressing room at Club La Vela, where Soulja Boy and his crew went following their performance.
Soulja Boy gave his side of the story. According to the rapper, his crew was in the dressing room for only about two minutes before police came in. He acknowledged that members of his group were smoking, but said his publicist was wrongly blamed for it. He described it as a case of wrong place, wrong time and believes the venue is the one that called the police.
Erica was taken to Bay County Jail to await her first appearance. An arrest is not a conviction, and we will pass along any updates on the case as they come in.
