It seems like Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thortson may have swept the rug from under her estranged husband’s feet.
Sources told TMZ that Gordan Thorton was blindsided by the separation. Apparently, he thought everything was fine between them, so when he was served, he was reportedly caught off guard.
Sources close to Gordan said he was handed court docs on Mia’s behalf back in mid-August as a way to show him she wanted to legally separate.
Gordan is reportedly upset with Mia, notably on how she’s handled it publicly, the outlet reported.
Up until Friday, Mia acted like all was well between them, at least on social media, as she continued to post photos of her and Gordon together and even gave him a shout-out several times.
Sources say this is what has Gordon upset and added that he hasn’t signed the papers yet for their separation to be legal.
Mia exclusively broke the news to PEOPLE, saying: “Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs. At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay. We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out.”
A new season of RHOP is set to air in November. We’ll see how it goes.
