A Baller Alert reader sent in a tip claiming French Montana played a part in one of the most talked about moments of DJ Khaled’s career.
Back in 2009, 50 Cent was beefing with Rick Ross, and the beef spilled over to Ross’ right hand man, DJ Khaled. In the middle of it, 50 released footage of Khaled’s mother at her job and at home, making it clear he knew where she worked and lived. Khaled was furious, and he had every right to be.
According to our reader, French Montana, who was running with 50 at the time, was involved in getting that footage. If true, that’s complicated, because French and Khaled have since become close collaborators.

UPDATED: Months after we posted the tip, 50 Cent brought it up himself. In an interview with Big Boy on Power 106, 50 said French used to shoot DVDs and always tried to get on camera with artists, and claimed French was the one who got him the tape of Khaled’s mother. French has not confirmed 50’s version of events, and the two have been trading shots publicly, so take it for what it is.
Either way, we wonder what DJ Khaled has to say about this.
