Last week, Baller Alert shared a Baller Mail tip submitted by a reader who suggested that a wardrobe stylist named JoJo was dating Atlanta rapper Young Thug. The reader pointed to friendly Instagram posts between the two as the reason for the guess. Baller Alert was the first outlet to publish the tip, and it was an unverified submission from a reader, not a confirmed report.
Earlier today, the stylist’s publicist sent out a statement denying the claim. In it, the stylist says Young Thug is a client who has become a close friend, “nothing more nothing less.” She says her client roster includes Birdman, Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and several other artists and models, and that she has a good working relationship with all of her clients. She also says the rumor put her career at risk, and that media outlets should be held accountable for allegations that turn out to be false. She noted that she supports the NO RIP campaign, which stands for reckless internet posting.
Baller Alert has no way to confirm the original tip, and she has flatly denied it, so we are taking her statement at face value. We have not seen a public comment on the matter from Young Thug. Thanks to her for sharing her side, and we wish her continued success in her styling career.
