A woman has been arrested in connection with the reported theft of boxer Jermall Charlo’s Louis Vuitton bag from Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports the woman, identified as Sarah, 40, of Connecticut, turned herself in to police on Tuesday morning after authorities asked the public for help identifying suspects. She was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. No response from her was included in early reports, and the charges are allegations that have not been tested in court.
The theft happened early Sunday morning. TMZ reports Charlo left the bag unattended after a fight broke out with another group, and when he went back for it, the bag was gone. Police have said the bag held roughly $155,000 in cash and jewelry.
According to sources who spoke to TMZ, the bag included about $40,000 in cash, a $75,000 championship ring, a $15,000 diamond bracelet and a $10,000 Cartier ring.
Police told TMZ they recovered all of the jewelry, but none of the cash.
