Sylvester Stallone is denying a rape allegation and asking authorities to look into the woman behind it, according to TMZ.
TMZ reported that a woman filed a police report in mid November claiming Stallone assaulted her 27 years ago, in 1990. According to TMZ, she had earlier taken her story to a media outlet, which contacted Stallone but chose not to publish it, citing a lack of corroborating evidence. TMZ said another reporter later contacted Stallone’s attorney, Marty Singer, about the new report.
Stallone denies the allegation. TMZ reported that he acknowledged spending a few days with the woman in Israel in 1987, when he was single and she was of age, but says he did not see her in 1990, the year she claims the incident happened at his Santa Monica office.
TMZ also reported that Singer is working to confirm the police report and is preparing to ask authorities to investigate her claim, which Stallone says is false. No charges had been reported. The woman has not been named here, and her account has not been proven. Allegations like this are serious and are for authorities to sort out.
