As previously reported, T.I. got himself in a little bit of legal trouble earlier this year after an altercation with a security officer at his gated community. He was originally arrested and charged with simple assault, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct. Now, prosecutors have dropped the assault charge but are maintaining the other two charges.

In May, TIP got into an argument the guard, who happened to be sleeping when the rapper pulled up, demanded to see ID and when T.I. didn’t provide it to the guard, he refused to let him in. The Atlanta superstar was initially charged with assault after police determined that his comment, “You’re making it worse for yourself, man … You’re gonna have to deal with me,” was a criminal threat towards the security guard.

He still faces 3 counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and one count of misdemeanor public drunkenness according to TMZ.
