DJ Eque ends her nearly 12-year marriage to Rapper Talib Kweli, court documents filed on Friday show.
According to TMZ, DJ Eque, whose real name is Cynthia Greene, filed a petition for divorce from her husband (real name Talib Kweli Greene) in Los Angeles Superior Court, stating in her filing that the couple has no minor children from their union.
It’s unclear if DJ Eque is asking for any monthly support or if the couple signed a prenuptial agreement that would cover the division of their property and assets before they wed.
Talib was removed from the social media platform Twitter last year after he harassed a woman for months who commented on
colorism in Hip Hop music.
