The new year is looking up for Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Teairra Mari. The singer can breathe a sigh of relief because the battery case against her has officially been dropped.
In July 2015, an Uber driver accused Teairra Mari of atracking him and hijacking his iPhone charger all because he refused to let her use it. The driver says he was forced to pull over when Mari began punching him. In September 2015, the singer was charged with misdemeanor battery, theft and vandalism.
In June 2016, Teairra Mari was ordered to appear in court. However, she was a no-show so a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. Mari eventually turned herself in and was released from jail after posting $26k bail.
All three charges were dismissed against Mari today after her Uber driver refused to take the stand. Mari’s lawyer says it’s probably because his story wouldn’t hold water.
The good news for Teairra is that, not only is she off the hook, she gets her $26,000 bail money back.
