Terrell Owens has filed for divorce from his wife of only a few weeks, and he is asking the court to make her pay his legal fees, according to TMZ Sports.

Per the filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Owens and Rachel married on January 23 and separated on January 26. Owens filed on February 14 without an attorney and checked the box asking the judge to have her cover his divorce costs. He also states the couple has no community property. TMZ Sports reports that Owens’ position is that the marriage lasted just three days.

Rachel tells a different story. She told TMZ Sports the marriage lasted about two weeks before she left, and she claims she and Owens had a long relationship before the wedding. She also alleges he married her to secure a loan on a $2 million home. Owens’ camp pushed back earlier this month, saying money is not an issue for him and that he did not need her credit.

Rachel also took issue with the timing, saying the filing came on Valentine’s Day while she was in the hospital. She asked TMZ Sports, “If money isn’t an issue, why doesn’t he have an attorney?”

Neither side’s account has been independently confirmed, and the divorce is still pending. We will update this story as the case moves forward.
