The fiancée of Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has been granted a temporary protective order after accusing him of attacking her during an argument over game tickets.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Candace, the mother of Suggs’ two children, says in court papers that the argument happened on November 29, before the Ravens played the Steelers. She says it started over two tickets she had asked for, and that after they had seemingly made up, Suggs threw a soap dispenser at her head, knocked her to the ground and held an open bottle of bleach over her and their son. She says the bleach spilled on both of them and caused a rash. A judge noted a visible cut on her chest.

The judge granted a temporary protective order, good for seven days, requiring Suggs to leave their home and stay away from her. A follow up hearing is scheduled for Friday. Court records show the Department of Social Services is also involved.

Suggs has not been charged with a crime. The protective order is a civil process, and police said they had no record of emergency calls to the home. Suggs told the Sun it is a family matter. The Ravens said he will have his chance to tell his side, and the NFL said it would look into the facts.

These are serious allegations, and a child was involved. We’ll see what the court decides at Friday’s hearing.
