The latest Tesla Model 3 cars have been suspended in Paris.

A Paris taxi firm, G7, suspended the use of Tesla Model 3 cars after one of the vehicles crashed into a cyclist and a crowd of people. It killed the rider and wounded 20 other people.

An off-duty taxi driver was taking his family to a restaurant Saturday evening when he attempted to brake at a red light. Instead, the car accelerated and crashed.

According to reports, the car hit a cyclist and three pedestrians before crashing into a van. Seven people were seriously injured.

There’s no further evidence on what caused the car to crash or if it was in Auto-Pilot driver-assistance mode, but G7 says it is discontinuing the use of its fleet in 37 electrically charged Tesla Model 3s until a police investigation is completed.

According to the Washington Post, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, the transport minister, said on French radio Wednesday that there was no indication that a technical fault was to blame for the incident and that he was not worried about Model 3 safety.

Tesla says, “There is no technical problem to flag on their vehicles.” Though in the United States, there have been at least 200 reports of Teslas accelerating then crashing when drivers want the car to slow down. Tesla claims it’s because the drivers are confusing the brakes with the accelerating pedals.
