Cavs fans who didn’t burn their Lebron James jerseys will be happy to know that they don’t have to buy new ones. The NBA star, who is returning to his stomping grounds in the upcoming season, will be ditching the #6 jersey he rocked in Miami, for his original #23.
There had been much debate as to which number Lebron would return to Cleveland with. Between Lebron publicly arguing that 23 should be retired league-wise in honor of Michael Jordan, and James rocking 6 with Miami and the Olympics, one thought he would have just taken 6 with him. It looks like that is not the case. Lebron made the announcement on his Instagram page moments ago saying, “23 it is! It’s only right I go back. 2·3=6 We still family 6. #HomeTeam #StriveForGreatness“
So there you have it folks. Number 23 it is!
