Kat Stacks’ Twitter account has been suspended, cutting off the platform she used to become one of the most talked about names in hip hop this year.
The South Florida woman, whose real name is Andrea Herrera, built her following in early 2010 with tweets and YouTube videos claiming she had been with a long list of rappers, including members of Young Money, Nelly and Bow Wow. None of the claims were ever backed up, but the videos pulled millions of views and made her a daily topic on hip hop blogs.
The saga kept escalating. Rappers fired back on their own pages, and Kat Stacks said child services showed up at her door after someone reported her. Talk of book deals and TV deals followed her the whole way, and her camp claimed radio interviews were lined up, including one with Angela Yee. Then the account went dark, and her manager wiped his own page of everything he had posted about her.
