Social media is buzzing once again with claims that “The Simpsons” have accurately predicted yet another major event!
This time, the popular theory involves the upcoming presidential election. Just to catch you up: On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced that he would not seek another term, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place on the ballot. Harris expressed her honor and determination to win the election in her statement.
Following this announcement, Al Jean, a longtime showrunner and writer for “The Simpsons,” shared a viral side-by-side photo on social media. The image compared Kamala Harris to Lisa Simpson from the “Bart To The Future” episode in season 11. Fans were quick to note the similarities: Lisa wore pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, and a purple blazer in the scene, much like Harris’s outfit when she was sworn in as Vice President in 2021.
However, this isn’t the first time “The Simpsons” have seemingly predicted the future. In 2016, the show eerily predicted Donald Trump’s presidential win. They’ve also made references to events like the January 6th Capitol Riot and Queen Elizabeth II’s death long before they happened. Despite these uncanny predictions, the show’s creators have always denied having any psychic abilities.
