Tiki Barber has married Traci Lynn Johnson, the woman he left his wife for, in a courthouse ceremony this week.
The relationship made headlines from the start. In 2010, the former New York Giants star left his wife of more than a decade, Ginny, while she was eight months pregnant with twins. He was with Traci, then a 23 year old intern at NBC, where Tiki worked as a correspondent.
The fallout was ugly. Tiki’s messy divorce dragged on, his attempted NFL comeback didn’t go anywhere, and his public image took a serious hit. Through all of it, he and Traci stayed together, and he proposed while his divorce was still being worked out.
Now it’s official, with no big wedding and no fanfare, just a trip to the courthouse.
Congratulations to the newlyweds, we guess. But plenty of people will be side eyeing this one, because how a relationship starts has a way of following it around.
