A jury reached its verdict, finding reality tv couple Todd and Julie Chrisley guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion.

The ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ stars were found guilty on a list of charges, according to a court clerk for the northern district of Georgia. TMZ reported that their accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also found guilty on related charges, which included aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns.

A sentencing date hasn’t been scheduled, which means the Chrisleys will remain in home detention until then.

Todd’s lawyer Bruce Morris made a statement to TMZ saying, “We are disappointed in the verdict. We plan an appeal.”

The three were indicted in 2019. Prosecutors claimed they defrauded banks by getting millions of dollars in loans. The U.S. Attorney’s Office also accused them of cheating the government by actively evading federal income taxes.

According to the indictment, Todd worked with a partner to make it look like one of his bank accounts had $4 million in it, but in reality, he didn’t even have an account with the bank.

The feds said Todd emailed his partner, “You are a f***ing genious [sic]!!!! Just make it show 4 mil+.”

The reality claimed they did nothing wrong but admitted they knew the charges were coming.
