Toni Braxton and Birdman seemingly have been keeping their marriage on the low.
According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, the Grammy-winning singer and Cash Money Records co-founder quietly tied the knot on August 8, 2024.
But just two days after the secret ceremony, Braxton filed for divorce.
The filing, which listed their separation date as August 10, described the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” However, Toni later withdrew the divorce petition in January 2025 and Birdman signed off on the decision.
That means, as of now, the two remain legally married.
This latest update marks another unexpected chapter in the couple’s complicated history. Birdman proposed to Braxton in 2018 with a million-dollar engagement ring, but they called it quits publicly in 2019. Despite occasional sightings and whispers of a rekindled romance, Toni continued to deny they were back together—even calling rumors of a wedding “#FAKENEWS” in December 2023.
It turns out, that was true at the time. But just eight months later, they officially said “I do.”
As of now, both Toni and Birdman have remained quiet on the status of their relationship. But documents don’t lie—the couple remains legally tied.
