Lil Kim has requested Toni Braxton sing at her future wedding, but the song she has in mind isn’t fitting for the occasion.
On Wednesday, Toni made an appearance on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show and revealed Kim requested her to sing a non-traditional song at her wedding. Apparently, Kim asked Toni to perform her single “You Mean The World To Me” which is about a lying significant other.
“She came up to me one day, she says, ‘Toni, girl, I love you,’” Toni said. “When I get married, I want you to sing at my wedding.’ And I said, ‘Kimmy, you don’t want me to sing. I don’t have any happy love songs.”
Kim then notified her of the song choice and Toni explained how the song starts off with a line that’s not appropriate for a wedding.
Nevertheless, Kim didn’t care about the lyrics and told the singer, “Girl, can’t nobody understand what you say, just sing the song.”
Toni did not confirm or deny if she’ll accept the task but she has some time to think on it seeing as Kim isn’t even engaged at the moment.
For awhile, Kim was dating her daughter’s father Mr. Papers. The two had an on and off relationship for about a decade but the pair welcomed their daughter, Royal Reign, in 2014.
