Tory Lanez Ordered to Pay Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Fees After Mocking Deposition

Tory Lanez and his legal team are appealing for a review of his 10 year prison sentence related to the Megan Thee Stallion shooting.

On Monday, Lanez submitted a case, arguing “Erroneous Admission of Evidence” and “Prosecutorial Misconduct” with an extensive 103-page opening brief.

According to Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cuniff, “The arguments largely match arguments made in his motion for new trial that Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford rejected in May.”

“The filing builds on a habeas petition filed in December with a declaration from Lanez’s driver that says he saw Lanez try to take a gun away from Megan’s friend Kelsey Harris before the shooting occurred, but it also says the driver did not see who fired the shots.”

Later in the week, Cuniff wrote on X: “The most surprising thing about the brief is how quickly it was filed […] This fast turnaround could mean we have a decision from the Second District by the end of the year.”

As you know, Lanez began serving his 10-year prison sentence in September, bringing closure to the high-profile shooting case.
