Following Friday night’s tragedy at his Astroworld festival, Travis Scott announced that he is stepping away from other performances as he works diligently to support the victims.

On Monday, Scott detailed several ways that he is stepping up to help everyone cope with the festival, where eight people died when the massive crowd surged forward towards the main stage. The 30-year-old says that he will cover the funeral costs for the victims, one of which was just 14-years-old. He has also partnered with virtual counseling company, BetterHelp, to offer free therapy sessions to anyone having a hard time coping with the shocking turn of events.

He is also working to refund all attendees of the Astroworld fest.

Aside from the deceased, 17 concert-goers were hospitalized, with 13 of which remaining in the hospital. Their conditions are not known. Initial reports claimed that attendees rushed the stage at around 9:15 p.m. during Scott’s set, which caused many people near the front to be compressed, causing them to pass out while others were trampled on the ground. However, there have since been claims of unknown individuals possibly injecting people with drugs, which caused mass panic.

The “Goosebumps” rapper has canceled his engagements, as he is “too distraught” to get on stage at the moment. One of these obligations includes his November 13th set at the Day N Vegas festival.

As the investigation into the deaths continues, Houston Fire Chief Sam Peña says that he expressed concern to Scott and his team about the “energy” of the crowd before the chaos unfolded.
