Trey Songz is officially off the hook in his domestic violence legal case, as the suit has reportedly been dropped.

Back in March 2018, the singer turned himself in on a charge of felony domestic violence after a woman named Andrea Burea accused him of a February attack. Upon his release, Songz denied all wrongdoing in a tweet, saying, “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”

Two months later, the singer’s charges were dropped, as the L.A. city and district attorneys rejected the case. However, three months after that, the woman filed a lawsuit against the singer, detailing the alleged attack.

In the suit, Buera said Songz “called [her] names, choked her, and repeatedly punched her in the face” at a home in Hollywood Hills. But, Songz maintained his innocence, claiming that any damages the woman suffered were due to her own conduct.

Now, after a year of back and forth, Buera has informed the judge that she is dismissing her suit against the singer, Pitchfork reports. As a result, the judge dropped the suit with prejudice, meaning the alleged victim can not refile.
