Trick Daddy can finally move on with his life after the rapper made a plea bargain for possession of drugs and driving under the influence.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Trick has cut a deal, pleading guilty to cocaine possession and obtaining credit for time served. In return, the DUI charge was dropped.
TMZ says that in January, a white powdery substance that was hidden away in a dollar bill was seen in a police bodycam video during the rapper’s 2020 arrest. Police say that Trick failed the field sobriety test, and the video shows him slurring his words while playing the celebrity card.
Unfortunately, the celebrity card didn’t work, but since it was just a small trace of cocaine, he got a low-level third-degree felony.
According to the D.A., Trick isn’t on probation, and the plea deal closes the case.
His Attorney, Harris Gilbert, told TMZ, “As part of the plea, he was also able to give back to the community he loves so much with a donation to Camillus House homeless shelter.”
