A Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper warmed hearts with his random act of kindness after buying a car seat for a woman and her baby son after ticketing her for three traffic violations.

According to WBTW, Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Bradley Sanders had given young mother Niya Sumter three tickets during a traffic stop in which her son tried to escape his “big boy seat” as the officer was talking to her.

“He was buckled in, but he wasn’t in the proper car seat, and he was able to move around freely,” Sanders recalled in an interview with WAPT.

It turns out Sanders has a very generous spirit. The trooper decided to buy the child a car seat after going back to his cruiser and speaking to his wife.

Sumter shared her story via a Facebook post and told her friends and family about the power of God.

“Can I say how good God is?” Sumter wrote on Facebook. “After giving me my tickets, he said, ‘Follow me. Let’s go buy your baby a car seat.” She even posted a photo of the officer standing in line waiting to purchase the car seat.

“She was very grateful. She was saying, ‘Thank you,’ and she understood that the traffic stop was legitimate. She had no issue with what was going on,” Sanders said. “She did state she was trying to do the best she could with her son being in the car seat that he was in,” he said.
