The Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower in New York City was vandalized again in the early hours of Sunday morning, the third time since July, according to the New York Post and NBC New York.
Around 12:20 a.m., police believe, people poured black paint or tar over the full length of the bright yellow mural. At the time of the reports, police had not publicly identified any suspects by name in the latest incident.
The mural, which President Trump has called a “symbol of hate,” was defaced twice before. NBC New York reported that a 39 year old woman named Juliet was involved in both earlier incidents, and that she acted alone the second time. She was charged with criminal mischief both times. Charges are allegations, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
NBC New York also reported that Juliet told the station she would come back to deface the mural again.
