TT Torrez’s representatives are accusing Funkmaster Flex of violently shoving her during a confrontation with her husband at Madison Square Garden, claiming the longtime HOT 97 DJ was ultimately removed from the building.

The allegations were detailed in an official statement issued by Now PR Agency following the October 20 incident inside the arena’s Delta Lounge during the New York Knicks’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers.According to the statement, Torrez and her husband were attending the game when an encounter with her former colleague turned physical.
“What was meant to be an enjoyable evening out for Mrs. Torrez and her husband became a deeply disturbing and traumatic experience. A verbal exchange between her husband and Funkmaster Flex escalated into a physical confrontation in which Funkmaster Flex shoved her violently.”

The representative added, “There is no justification for a man to put his hands on a woman, under any circumstances.”
The accusations emerged after Flex shared footage of a heated encounter involving another man at the arena. The video captured the DJ moving toward the man as the situation escalated, prompting nearby individuals to move away before security intervened.
However, Torrez’s team insists the footage circulating on social media leaves out the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
“The brief video circulating online does not tell the full story. What the public saw was a husband defending his wife.”
Beyond the alleged physical encounter, the publicist’s statement outlines a history of accusations against Flex that Torrez says she previously attempted to resolve without public attention.
According to her representatives, Torrez has “endured years of ongoing harassment, intimidation, and bullying by her former colleague.”
The statement alleges that Torrez pursued formal remedies rather than publicly discussing her disagreements with Flex while the matter was being addressed.
“That process ultimately resulted in a settlement with Mediaco Hot 97 and a non-disparagement agreement, which Funkmaster Flex has continued to violate.”
Torrez’s representatives characterize the Madison Square Garden confrontation as another episode in an unresolved dispute between the former coworkers. The reported settlement and claims that Flex violated its terms have not been independently verified.
The publicist also addressed what happened after arena personnel intervened, thanking Madison Square Garden for allegedly removing Flex from the building immediately following the confrontation.
According to TMZ, footage shows security personnel and an NYPD officer escorting Flex away from the confrontation and into a hallway. However, Madison Square Garden has not publicly confirmed the PR team’s specific claim that he was removed from the building.
Flex, meanwhile, has presented his own explanation of the encounter.
Flex disputed reports that he had been punched during the altercation and accused music executive Shadow Stokes of attempting to provoke him into a fight. Flex alleged that Stokes wanted him to strike first to pursue a financial payout.
The DJ also referenced an active legal dispute involving himself and his company, although the precise connection between that matter and the settlement described by Torrez’s representatives remains unclear.
Torrez’s team has made clear that she does not intend to respond to the controversy through social media exchanges.
“Mrs. Torrez will not engage in online arguments, public theatrics, or any back-and-forth that distracts from the seriousness of what occurred. She will continue to address this matter through her legal counsel.”
Her publicist also stressed that Torrez’s decision to remain relatively quiet about the allegations should not be interpreted as accepting the conduct she described. The statement expressed her continued support for women experiencing harassment, intimidation, bullying, and physical assault, particularly those who speak up for themselves.
The PR team has requested privacy for Torrez as the matter continues through appropriate legal channels.
