Raphael “Tweet” Brown of the 90s R&B group Next is facing allegations from his wife in court papers, and he says they are false.
According to court documents reported by outlets including Black America Web, Brown’s wife, Juliette Gil-Brown, alleges that he hit and shoved her on multiple occasions and kicked her while she was pregnant. She also alleges an incident last month in which he became angry with their 4 year old daughter and pushed her into a car seat after she declined to kiss him. She further claims he watched adult material in front of their children. These are allegations made in a filing and have not been proven.
Brown responded on Instagram, calling the allegations false. He said the matter is being handled legally and thanked supporters for their messages.
Next is known for 90s hits including “Too Close” and “Butta Love.” There was no word on how long the alleged conduct had been going on, and no court findings had been reported at the time of this post.
