Twitter Reacts: Apple’s Purple iPhone Announcement Sends Twitter Into A Frenzy

Apple announced several new devices during its “Spring Loaded” event on Thursday. But, it was the purple iPhone 12 that had everyone talking.

The new color joins black, white, blue, green, and (PRODUCT)RED options previously available. Tim Cook said the new purple color is meant to evoke a Springtime feel. The purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available for pre-order on Friday, with a general release the following Friday.

After the new color was announced, Twitter collectively lost its mind. One user admitted they were willing to sell their kidney to get their hands on the new device. At the same time, another likened it to throwback gaming device Game Boy Color.
