The day has finally arrived for Juvenile’s NPR Tiny Desk performance, and Twitter is rejoicing.
Weeks ago, the Hot Boys star announced that he would be gracing the Tiny Desk platform during Black Music Appreciation Month following a fan-led Twitter campaign aimed to get the rapper on the platform.
It started after one supporter tweeted NPR, urging them to include the rapper in their lineup. Juvenile confusingly responded to the tweet, saying, “Wtf is a tiny desk and no.” However, after educating himself on the internet’s favorite concert series, he quickly retracted his statement and claimed he’d “RECONSIDER doing @NPR Tiny Desk” if he received 10,000 retweets. Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to accept the challenge.
His Tiny Desk performance was the perfect way to kick off his string of honors, and as expected, his fans were left rejoicing. Many praised his live performance rendition of “Rodeo” and “Back That A** Up.” Others were just happy to see the OG finally being recognized on a large scale.
Take a peek at what Twitter had to say.
